The wedding of Sophie + Paul

Clearwell Castle is one of the venues I love going to each and every time. The castle is set in beautiful grounds and has the most gorgeous interiors with large windows that provide the opportunity for some dramatic natural light shots. This June wedding was particularly special for me as I saw couples whose weddings I had shot, had yet to shoot and guests from previous weddings too! I felt like one of the gang!

The day began with the girls getting ready in the bridal suite at Clearwell Castle, where the fizz was flowing and emotions running high. I popped in to see Paul and his guys getting ready in one of the rooms down the hall too and could tell he was nervous! The ceremony was held in the quaint church just a short walk away from the castle, we had the pleasure of Mathern Male Voice Choir accompanying the hymns. After the ceremony confetti was thrown in the beautiful avenue of trees outside the church, there was even time for a confetti canon with just the bridesmaids and Sophie.

Sophie and Paul took five minutes out of their day to go for a little walk around the grounds to catch their breath and take it all in before joining their guests for some hilarious and emotional speeches – Paul definitely shed a few tears! The partying began soon after and carried on long into the night.
