Josh & Frann at Pencoed House Estate

Pencoed House estate begins with a tree-lined avenue followed by a majestic arched entranceway – you know you have arrived somewhere rather special. A residence with a rather regal air – unsurprising since the estate was once home to descendents of a King of Glamorgan. Pencoed House provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography with beautiful lush gardens and ponds and beautiful stone walls and interiors.

Like any couple Josh and Frann dreamed their day would go perfectly and without a hitch – but there were a number of disasters that kept them on their toes. In the morning when getting ready at a nearby hotel, water began pouring through the lights into the lovely room where make-up and hair were being done – so they were evacuated to a not-so-nice conference suite! Shortly after that the fire-alarm went off and everyone in the hotel was also evacuated  – the make-up artist did a sterling job of continuing to work in the car-park during the fire-drill! Then the cake collapsed…. and Josh had forgotten to bring half the favors…. this day did not go without hitch….

However! If ever there was a couple and their family and friends who showed that it is not the fancy things, it is not the cake, it is not the negative things that you should focus on, or that matter! These guys are childhood sweethearts who met on holiday a million years ago and have been together ever since, they have grown together as a couple and they have brought their own families together. Josh is a man who is not afraid to show his emotion and he was awash with tears as Frann came down the aisle – the day was passionate and emotional and I loved being part of every minute.
