Crickhowell Wedding – Richard + Rini
This was an Indian / Welsh fusion wedding with the ceremony taking place at St Denys church in Cardiff, followed by the reception at Manor House in Crickhowell. The Manor House is situated in possibly the most beautiful valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park, on the fringes of the pretty and quaint market town of Crickhowell, the views here are outstanding and perfect for wedding photography. The family owned Manor hotel sits at the foot of the ancient fortress, Table Mountain.
I came to the hotel where Rini was getting ready with her sisters and then it was on to the sweet ceremony full of family and friends and lots of singing. Whilst the guest journeyed to Crickhowell by bus we stopped at the River Usk for some photographs in the the beautiful daisy and butter-cup filled meadow next to it. It was a scorching hot May day and the flowers literally shone! Then it was back to the hotel for a cool drink of champagne before the speeches and meal. I was in stitches for the best man speech, his advice that if you are ever in the company of Richard when he has had a few too many drinks make sure he is near the facilities (!). The views from the Manor are breathtaking and we enjoyed a last photograph session before they hit the dance floor with their family and friends as the sun went down with music from Tom Rocks and the Replicants.
Richard and Rini are a beautiful and funny couple and it was a real pleasure to photograph their Usk wedding.
