Hensol Castle – The Wedding of Mike and Holly

Hensol Castle | Cardiff | South Wales

Hensol Castle is a grade 1 listed imposing castle and sits within a breathtaking estate with breathtaking grounds including a tree-lined avenue and a lake. Steeped in history and decorated sympathetically with modern opulence with gothic towers, sweeping staircases and original architecture. The Castle has recently been updated with contemporary fabrics and furniture giving it a real edge. On this scorching hot day in May we were treated to the most amazing day for Holly and Mike’s wedding.

In the morning the girls got ready in the family home, Mike had sent Holly a gift of an infinity bracelet from Tiffany to match their tattoos, he is such a generous man and is always showering Holly in gifts! In return she had sent him a watch as he is known to have quite the collection!

There was no end of beautiful touches to their day; Holly wore a beautiful jewelled dress from Laura May and her make-up was done by the incredible Shevaun Mckenna.  Mike looked very handsome in a suit from Reiss with a shirt from Hawkes Tailoring. Their rings were from Pravins. The bridesmaids wore lemon dresses fromBridal Box and the cake was made by Wish apon a cupcake. They were serenaded into the ceremony room by string quartet Cambria Car and taken for a drive after the ceremony by the fabulous drivers of Henrietta Hire.

The afternoon was soaked in sunshine and it was lovely to find sometime for them to catch their breath and have a walk along the lake together, their first walk as a married couple. It didn’t disappoint, the surroundings of Hensol Castle are simply divine. When the sunset we grabbed some incredible photographs in the golden light before heading back to party the night away.
