A Ceridwen Centre – Welsh Green Wedding

A Welsh Green Wedding at the Ceridwen Centre – The one that made me go WOW!

The Ceridwen Centre hosts natural and alternative Welsh Green Weddings and it was an absolute feast for the senses with every moment spent there. Based in West Wales, the Ceridwen Centre boasts an eco ethos with solar heating and an abundance of respect for the environment and surroundings. For a wedding photographer it has so much to offer; from the wild flower meadows, the cutest gypsy caravan ‘honeymoon suite’, the festival-style tipi tent for the wedding reception complete with a compost lav – to the laidback yet attentive venue hosts.

On the morning of Sarah and Alan’s June wedding, I headed to a little cottage nearby where Sarah was staying with her family and friends. The atmosphere was full of nostalgia and love and there were plenty of tears being flapped away with excited hands. Sarah is hilarious! I knew we’d get along the moment I met her as she has such a giving personality. She had made little bracelets for her bridesmaids and had done all the flowers for the wedding herself. Despite being a serious A&E doctor she has a full-on creative side and is incredibly passionate about her friends and family. When she appeared in the doorway in her dress – seeing the love between her Father and her was totally overwhelming!

The ceremony was in the beautiful oak gazebo in the gardens and serenaded by Godminster Vintage Male Voice Choir. It was intimate, special and just… perfect. Drinks followed, merriment ensued and we snuck away for a few quiet moments by the gypsy caravan. Their dog Paddy also got involved and was happy to wander the grounds throughout the day!

I was blown away by the attention to detail in the Tipi Tent! The flowers, the bunting, the kids table, sweet table and naked cake were all out of this world and came together beautifully.

As the sun went down, the fun continued and guests had fun with garden games, a photo-booth tent and music from The Velveteens

Here is their story:

Dress – House of Mooshki Shoes – Emmy of London Suits – Walker Slater Cake – Rebeca Northey (the sister in law to be) Cheese cake – Godminster Vintage Choir – The Belmont Singers Band – The Velveteens
