Lucy and Lee

As a preferred supplier at Mathern Palace Chepstow Wedding Photographer, I am lucky enough to be able to shoot at this amazing place every year. This was my first wedding of 2018 and it was kick started with a bang!

Lee and Lucy put a tremendous amount into the day, the handmade touches were everywhere, reflecting their life as a couple, travelling all over the world. I spent the morning in the beautiful glass room at Mathern Palace as well as nipping down the road to see Lee get ready with his Groomsmen.

The ceremony was at the local church right on the doorstep of Mathern Palace and taken by the legendary Father Julian, who never fails to make the congregation laugh. The Blaenavon Male Voice Choir sang a haunting rendition of Calon Lan – this was especially wonderful for Lee and Lucy as her Grandfather sang along with them, and has sung in the hour since his youth.

Despite the Beast from the East being determined to delay Spring, Helen and Philip the owners of Mathern Palace had the gardens looking immaculate and their care was perfect as always.

After dinner, I took the couple on a little getaway to a secret location that overlooks both Welsh bridges.
