Ed and April – St. Pierre Hotel in Chepstow
It was a chilly February morning but there was excitement in the cottage in the grounds of St. Pierre Hotel, Chepstow, when I met April and her bridesmaids getting ready. Ed had been really sweet and organised a ‘morning hamper’ with sweets, pink champagne and an iPod filled with love songs for them all to enjoy. The happy tears started early! The girls had also got video messages sent from her relatives in the Philippines that couldn’t make the day, for her to watch! I had time to visit Ed and his mates getting ready in a different part of the hotel, Ed looking very handsome in his traditional Moss suit.
It was a beautifully thought-out wedding, with so many hand-made touches; from the paper bouquets; Aprils’ head-piece which she designed and made herself; to the bridesmaids bracelets also made by April. Aprils’ long sleek dress was from College Green Bridal in Bristol. It was so touching to see April’s Father walk her up the aisle and see her Mum read a piece in Filipino. The Chepstow Male Voice choir sang and their music filled the room and created an incredible atmosphere.
