Monmouth Church & Monmouth Pavilion

Monmouth is just beyond Chepstow and the Wye Valley, as such it is part of an incredible landscape of rolling hills, fields, woods, rivers – as you can imagine I have an amazing time as a wedding photographer living in this area! Lucy & Tom’s wedding was held at a quaint church belonging to Monmouth Boys School and thereafter the reception was held at Monmouth Boys School Pavilion. The vision for the day was laid-back, feel-good and lots of ice-cream! The pavilion itself is a great place to have a festive wedding, they laid out garden games, picnic blankets and had The Icicle Tricycle giving out lots of tasty treats! The day was emotional, there is nothing quite like seeing parents see their daughter in their wedding dress for the first time! It gets me, having a daughter myself, you can’t help but put yourself in their position. Lucy’s Dad literally broke my heart seeing his face as he walked her proudly down the aisle. The highlight of the day for me was visiting well known beauty spot The Kymin at the very top of Monmouth for photographs at sunset.
