St. Pierre Hotel & Country Club is beautiful old manor set in stunning grounds. Rebecca and Rhys chose well as, on their February wedding day, it was raining relentlessly all day long and so we made the most of having such beautiful interiors as well as braving the rain when it got dark. Rhys comes from a Welsh family and so the wedding ceremony itself was conducted bilingually in both Welsh and English which was a lovely touch. His Father also sang with the the Welsh Male Voice Choir who entertained the guests during the ceremony and afterwards. It was lovely to hear both languages being spoken throughout the day, Welsh is such a melodic sounding language. A lot of thought had gone into the day with both Welsh and English writing on the favours, a beautifully decorated candle-lit room which was perfect for a winters day and gorgeous gipsofila flower arrangements from Catherine Gray Flowers.
The couple are warm and sweet and met whilst working in a hospital, she a nutritionist and him a Doctor. It is lovely when two great minds come together and connect on such a deep level. Rebecca and Rhys have a real deep love of family and this showed all day long; the speeches both heartfelt and hilarious!
Despite the rain, we did venture out for a few shots to capture the wildness of the February weather and later on when the rain really pelted it down we grabbed some moments under an archway and lit the rain up with some flash to make some truly spectacular images.
