Caerllan Monmouth South Wales is a hidden gem of a wedding venue. Nestled into the Wye Valley the views are quite literally breath taking. The hosts Vicky and Jake have an impeccable way of making guests feel like it is a home from home. It was the perfect location for Jamie and Clare who wanted an informal, relaxed and natural wedding finished by a great party!

My ideal kind of client in that whilst they wanted a couple of family shots they didn’t want their wedding to turn into a photoshoot and so I played my part as a ninja and for the most part let things unfold naturally, capturing moments as they happened.

It was a beautiful Spring day complete with both rain and the most magnificent sunshine when the clouds finally broke away. I absolutely loved their idea of a bubble aisle instead of confetti! Jamie and Clare are such a sweet and earnest couple and are so natural and happy together. She wore a dress from Shropshire brides and a piece of (very expensive!) antique jewellery as her ‘something borrowed’ from her Aunt.

The day was exactly as they imagined, full of laughter and fun and some very good dances moves later on!
